10th September 2008 – World of Warcraft is "actually still growing", no new milestones yet

In January of this year Blizzard's subscription count for World of Warcraft hit the 10 million mark, and despite the emergence of rival MMOs it's still swelling. Lich King lead designer Tom Chilton reckons the release of the upcoming expansion will certainly bump the numbers again, when ever that eventually is. Head to Strategy Informer for more.

Help, policies and guidelines

WoWWiki is a wiki dedicated to cataloguing Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft Universe (with a focus, though not priority, on World of Warcraft), covering the entire Warcraft series of games, RPG reference books, strategy guides, novels and other sources. However, this is not Wikipedia, and we have slightly different ways of doing things.

For more info, check out About WoWWiki.

An in-game Riding Turtle mount reward from the rare Saltwater Snapjaw loot card
The World of Warcraft Trading Card Game was released in October 2006 by Upperdeck Entertainment.

Unlike most card games, Upper Deck is working with Blizzard to have some facets of the card game influence cosmetic aspects of the MMORPG by having cards with special codes that alter an online-character's look in some way.

Unlike most TCGs, the game focuses quite a bit on multiplayer. Upperdeck has already released their first two Raid Decks, featuring Onyxia, the Black Dragon and Ragnaros, the Fire Lord. Raid Decks are meant to be tackled by three to five players.
