Ammo vendors, sometimes called 'bowyers' or 'gunsmiths', sell ranged weapon ammunition such as arrows and bullets, that are especially useful for hunters who continually use bows or guns. Other ranged weapon classes, such as warriors and rogues may find this useful as well. General goods vendors also tend to sell ammo, though this is not always the case.

In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm ammo will be removed from the game and all ranged weapons will have unlimited ammunition. The following is a list of NPCs that once sold ammunition.
