  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-07-18): Damage increased by 3%.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.1.5 (2023-07-11):
    • Arcane Barrage has been removed from the talent tree and is now learned at level 11 (was a row 1 Arcane talent).
    • Damage increased by 6% and no longer has a 3 second cooldown.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02): Damage increased by 8%.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 1 Arcane talent (was a level 10 Arcane ability). Rank 2 converted into the Ability mage arcanebarrage [Arcing Cleave] talent. Rank 3 converted into the Ability mage arcanebarrage [Mana Adept] talent.
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.2.0 (2022-02-22): Arcane mages can now engage with multiple targets with Arcane Barrage.
  • Shadowlands Hotfix (2021-01-26): Arcane Barrage should now correctly return 1.5% mana per Arcane Charge.
  • Shadowlands Patch 9.0.2 (2020-11-17): Rank 3 added at level 52: Arcane Barrage grants you 2% of your maximum mana per Arcane Charge spent.

  • Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now affected by the Arcane Charge resource mechanic, and may now cleave nearby targets based on charges. Mana cost reduced to 0.5% base mana (was 11%) and cooldown reduced to 3 seconds (was 4). Now learned at level 12 (was 10).
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Damage has been increased by 13%.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Mana cost has been reduced by 8%.
  • Cataclysm Hotfix (2011-01-18): The mana costs of the following mage spells have been reduced, but they still require the previous percentage of base mana in order to be cast: Arcane Barrage (11% of base mana), Spell arcane blast [Arcane Blast] (7% of base mana), and Spell fire flamebolt [Fireball] (12% of base mana). As an example, Fireball requires 16% base mana to cast, but only consumes 12% of base mana.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Damage has been increased by 5% and its cooldown is now 4 seconds, down from 5 seconds.
