Arcane Impact is a mage talent that increases the critical strike chance of the Arcane Blast and Arcane Explosion spells by 2% per rank, up to 6% at rank 3. For mages that frequently use Arcane Blast, this talent is a good way to increase the overall DPS potential of that spell.

This talent was introduced in Patch 2.0.1. Previously, it was known as Improved Arcane Explosion and only affected the Arcane Explosion spell. Arcane Blast was introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion.
