Artisan is the fourth and final stage of a profession learned at the appropriate (see below) profession trainer.

Additonal notes:

  • Not counting any racial or other bonuses, at a certain skill level—200 skill points for primary professions, 225 for secondary—you can learn the Artisan stage and gain up to a maximum of 300 points.
  • You must be level 35 to learn the Artisan stage.
  • The trainer who will train Artisan stage for each profession is usually called a Master trainer and needs to be found in a particular location and not among the normal trainers.
  • Most of the secondary professions (Cooking, First Aid and Fishing) require completion of a quest to gain Artisan skill.
  • No skill or profession can go above 300 points (not including racial or other bonuses).

Profession skill levels fall into four stages of increasing ability to learn and execute recipes: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert and Artisan.
