Astranaar
From WoWWiki
Situated on the east-west road that divides Ashenvale in two is the Night Elf town of Astranaar. Like the Redridge Mountains and Duskwood regions in the Eastern Kingdoms, Ashenvale is often attacked by Horde as it is one of the first-tier contested zones for the Alliance. However, the danger is twofold since Ashenvale houses two Horde towns, one in the Zoram Strand and the other to the east, Splintertree Post. Exercise extreme caution around Astranaar. When questing, set your hearthstone to the inn whenever feasible in order to avoid having to dodge groups of Horde who like to gather a short distance away from the town in preparation to raid it.

[edit] Details
Astranaar is a medium population Night Elf town located in Ashenvale. The town itself is actually an island in a small lake, with access afforded by a bridge at the east and west ends of the town to allow the road to run through. These bridges are not very wide and act as bottlenecks when Astranaar is attacked from the road. The north-east corner of the island is open and not occupied by a building. Combined with a narrow section of moat there, it allows for large amounts of troops to be brought in with less hassle than the bridges.
