Astromancer Darnarian is a level 70 elven quest giver located in the Sun's Reach Sanctum of the Isle of Quel'Danas. He spawns when players have activated the Sunwell Portal in Shattrath City as part of the Shattered Sun Offensive storyline.
He is involved in the following quests:

In spite of his clearly high elven model, he has the voice of a blood elf. This could be due to either an error, that he supports the new direction the blood elves are going, or just something to reflect his rather harsh personality.
Others say that the error could be in his high elven appearance; Darnarian is in fact a blood elf, simply given the wrong model by Blizzard designers.
He could also be like Koltira, a High Elf who declared himself a Blood Elf after joining the Horde but remains physically unchanged and is not addicted to magic.
