Avoidance (pet)

Avoidance is one of the Pet Abilities. It is a passive ability that reduces damage taken from area of effect attacks by the pet by a fixed percentage. This includes the damage from AoE spells, auras and cleaves. Its effect stacks with resistances, can be learned from any Pet Trainer, and can be taught to any pet.

Functionality
Limitations
Unlike the Felguard ability, the Hunter version is guaranteed to work, but only provides damage reduction. It will not help the pet resist non-damaging AoE effects such as Psychic Scream.
Tips
The guaranteed damage reduction dramatically increases the effectiveness of Mend Pet in keeping the pet alive during AoE-heavy encounters such as Netherspite. It is highly recommended for any raiding or PvP pets, and is cheap enough to be a core ability for all pets.
