Baltharus the Warborn is a member of the Black dragonflight and a mini boss. He appears in World of Warcraft as one of the nythree sub-bosses in the Ruby Sanctum encounter, which was implemented in patch 3.3.5.
In order to shatter the Wyrmrest Accord and to crush those that would stand in the way of their master's reemergence into Azeroth, a powerful war party of the Black dragonflight; led by the fearsome twilight dragon Halion and his lieutenants Saviana Ragefire, Baltharus the Warborn and General Zarithrian; has launched an assault upon the Ruby Sanctum beneath Wyrmrest Temple.
Abilities
ennervating brand = inflicts multiple targets with a debuff that decreases healing taken by 2 percent per stack.. it also increases his damage done to you - blade tempest = rapidly twirling blades deal 70% of weapon damage to enemies in front of him every 0.50secs for 4 secs
Strategy
This fight needs only 2 tanks. The trick is to make sure that when any raid member is effected by the armor debuff, they move away from the rest of the battle so as to be at least 12 yards away from any other teammate. It is especially important to have all melee back 13 yards away from the Main Tank before cleansing the debuff so as to ensure that they are not effected either. At the very least, the Tanks CANNOT be debuffed when Baltharus initiates his whirlwind attack.
At 50% health, Baltharus will clone himself. The offtank has to taunt the clone and keep that to him. Now each tank has a copy of Baltharus . The DPS's must attack only the original one.
Now both tanks have a new task aside from tanking their own Baltharus. Every time a tank sees the other tank's Baltharus doing the whirlwind attack, taunt it and let the owner taunt it back. Both Baltharus's whirlwind attacks must be always wasted on no targets or the tanks have great chance of dying.
