A barnacle is a small sea creature that attaches itself to ships, or other animals. The Small Barnacled Clam gets its name due to these creatures being attached to its shell.

Types of Barnacle

• Barnacle

  Common barnacle found on rocks, ships, clams and other things all over Azeroth.

• Blood Barnacle

  Ships passing through the sea near the Maelstrom take many risks. Animals and plants have been altered by dark powers. Blood barnacles often attach themselves to the hulls of ships traveling through the the central sea, bringing madness and death. The product of blood barnacles are swollen mockeries known as blood zombies.^{MoM 195,196}
