Do we currently have a place, or places, amongst the (class) articles where Mastery for each Specialization is described? Bleah, okay, so Strikes of Opportunity, arms warrior mastery. Only linked to by mastery and specialization. Not the Warrior page.

Which means that the answer to my initial question is "Mastery is not (yet) discussed on the relevant class pages". I feel it should be. Which asks the next question: How would people like mastery (and perhaps the other talent-tree-choice abilities) to be described/displayed in a uniform fashion? The class pages aren't my usual area of operation, I'm hesitant to start messing around there unilaterally. Yet, I'd like to see the information presented uniformly, if possible. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:34, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Just to be as inclusive as possible, would anyone care to talk about adding "designed role(s)" to talent tree discussions, perhaps with icons? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:34, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Do we currently have a place, or places, amongst the (class) articles where Mastery for each Specialization is described? If not, anyone have suggestions where/how to do this consistently? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:50, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Mastery? --PcjWowpedia wiki manager (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 23:06, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
I am underwhelmed by how easy it is to look up what a particular specialization's mastery ability is. But perhaps this is part of a larger "specialization details are not reported distinctly" issue. For example, what are the signature abilities of the Shaman restoration talent tree choice? While it might actually BE in the description I linked here, it's not declared as such. And that is where I looked first, so maybe it should be? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:17, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Those abilities aren't part of the Mastery stat, so they really don't belong on that page. They can be found at Primary spells, but maybe a larger overview page for talent specs would be useful to combine the information. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 20:28, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Indeed, Mastery is not part of the (class) articles (re my initial question). Nor is Primary Spells. Worse, Without you two mentioning those pages, I have no clue they exist. When I want to know details about (eg) the Shaman class specializations, the first place I go is the Shaman page. Where I do find talent tree descriptions, but I do not find summaries such as is found on the talent dialog box. If I read the text (eg of Elemental), I eventually find the bit on Thunderstorm, Elemental Fury, and Shamanism. Elemental Overload ... hmm... doesn't exist yet.

Bleah, okay, so Ability backstab [Strikes of Opportunity], arms warrior mastery.
