Bind to Account

Bind to Account (BtA) is a new form of item binding that was introduced in Patch 3.0.2. Items that are BtA includes Heirlooms, Collector's Edition companions and the Baby Blizzard Bear.

Some players may use the term BoA instead of BtA to keep in line with the BoP and BoE convention.

Account-bound items can be mailed to any character that shares the same account, server, and faction.

Limitations

All Bind to Account items are considered as a level 1 when looking at the item level. This means several enchants will not work on these pieces.
