Bird of prey is the classification for birds that do not belong to the carrion bird group. This group includes owls, eagles, hawks, and some rocs (most rocs are considered to be carrion birds).

Hunter pet
Though hunters can respec their pet birds of prey into Ferocity or Tenacity, they are inherently Cunning. In addition to the abilities that come standard with all pets ([Cower], [Growl], [Avoidance]) and those given to their natural or retrained specialization, all birds of prey are given the following:

Patch changes
/ Patch 4.0.1 (12-Oct-2010): Bonus ability added, Trick.
- / Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): Major changes. Screech replaced with Snatch. Owls, which are now called Birds of Prey, can now eat fish. Armor and Health had no bonus and now each has a +5% bonus. Damage had a +7% bonus and now has a +5% bonus.
