From WoWWiki
Bite is one of the Pet Abilities. The Hunter learns this ability from the pets he tames. After taming a pet and getting/keeping its happiness and loyalty levels up, the Hunter will learn a pet's ability(ies) if the Beast has them itself.
Note: All pet abilities are set on auto-use by default (if using the Blizzard-built default UI)). To use the ability on auto, as coded, do nothing. If you desire to control when an ability is used by your pet, right-click - this toggles the abilities on/off. To use the ability automatically again, right-click the ability, which toggles it back on.
Functionality
- As you can see from the Rank Table below, Bite can be a fairly effective pet ability to use, especially in conjunction with one or more of the other pet abilities. Bite is on automatic use by default -- you can tell if an ability is being used automatically if it has a sparkly border running around it. To disable this automatic usage and control things yourself, right-click on the icon in the quickbar. To return to automatic usage, right-click again.
