Black Jelly is crafted by cooks with the aid of a Cooking Fire. The recipe can be learned from Bethany Cromwell at the Argent Tournament Grounds and the Cooking Trainers in Dalaran and requires level 400 Cooking skill.

Black Jelly is used mainly by tanks or other characters with very high health as a way to avoid having to eat multiple foods to regain all of their health. When compared to a similar health-and-mana food such as [Conjured Mana Strudel], Black Jelly provides 3x more health and mana over a time period 2x as long. When compared to a health-only food such as [Savory Snowplum], Black Jelly provides 2x more health over a time period 2x as long.
