It is yet to be confirmed that he may also be a reference to the Simpsons character Montgomery Burns. His first name is pronounced in the same way as "Blaze", which like the name "Burns" is associated to fire, and his last name is the same as Burns's first name. He is also undead whereas Burns is a really old man.
