Spell description
  +
This is a placeholder item, only used in the tooltip for Transmute: Living Elements. When the actual transmute is cast, players will wind up with 14-16 of any of the other volatile elements:
−
Places a Blessing on the friendly target, reducing damage dealt from all sources for 5 min. In addition, when the target blocks a melee attack the attacker will take Holy damage. Players may only have one Blessing on them per Paladin at any one time.

  +
*Volatile Air in Uldum
  +
*Volatile Earth in Deepholm
  +
*Volatile Fire in Hyjal
  +
*Volatile Water in Vashj'ir
  +
The result will be random in any zone other than the listed four. In addition, Transmutation Master-spec alchemists will gain an additional proc of 4-8 volatiles, which will be random, irrespective of zone, and may or may not be the same as what the main cast delivered.

Blessing of Sanctuary is a talent in the Protection tree, you will need to spend 21 points in Protection to max it.

−
It is a great blessing for tanks because it reduces the damage taken and it gives damage when the tank blocks an attack.

−
Very useful against mobs who make a lot of hits and low damage as the blessing will negate a lot of the damage (like rogue or DoTs).

−
−
Damage Reduction
−
−
Per the spell description, damage taken while this spell is active is reduced by up to a certain amount (e.g., up to 80 at rank 5). The actual damage reduction is usually less than this.

−
−
For one, there seems to be a 20-30% hard floor to the amount of damage reduced. A mob that normally hits for 20 or 30 damage per hit without Blessing of Sanctuary, for example, will typically hit for only 5 points less than this with even Rank 5 Blessing of Sanctuary in place.

−
−
For another, the damage reduction appears to happen before mitigation from armor, Improved Righteous Fury, and other sources. For example, if a mob normally hits for 1000 physical damage, and you have Rank 5 Blessing of Sanctuary and enough armor to achieve 50% physical damage reduction against that mob, the 1000 incoming damage will be reduced by the Blessing of Sanctuary to 920 damage, and then the remaining 920 damage will be reduced by your armor to 460 damage.

−
−
Greater Blessing
−
As of patch 1.9 paladins now can use Greater Blessings. This includes a Greater Blessing of Sanctuary which can be learned (purchased) from the Class Trainer. Each Greater Blessing affects all players of the targetted class within your party or raid and lasts for 15 min.

−
Each Greater Blessing you cast requires the reagent Symbol of Kings which can be purchased at any reagent vendor.
