Blood Fury is a racial ability used by orcs to increase their damage output.
Warriors, rogues, death knights and hunters get an attack power buff, warlocks get a spell damage buff, and shaman get both. The values of X and Y scale with level. Using Blood Fury does not trigger the global cooldown.
Notes
Formulae:
- (Level*4)+2 = Attack power gained.
- (Level*2)+3 = Spell damage gained.
The spell damage boost is not the same as spell power. There is no granted bonus to healing.
Past changes
Patch 3.0.3 (2008-11-04): No longer triggers global cooldown.
Since Patch 2.0, different versions of this spell exist. Previously, warriors, hunters and rogues received a melee attack power buff of 282 at level 70, warlocks received 143 magical damage and healing done at level 70, and shamans received both of these. The downside of this racial was a debuff similar to [Mortal Strike] that reduced the amount of healing to the player by 50%. This debuff could consume and replace charges of Wound Poison, making the racial a valuable asset for orc shamans.
