The Blood Wizards were defeated by Kael'thas as he tried to fix the Arcane Observatories around Lordamere Lake in Warcraft III Frozen Throne Human Expansion Campaign. They might have been wizards driven mad by desperation after Dalaran's destruction by Archimonde, thus fighting their own allies. They were infected with bloodlust.
