Blood of the Mountain is considered the most difficult ingredient obtain for dark iron blacksmithing. More then half the time a player looks for Blood of the Mountain is to create the Sulfuron Hammer.

Blood of the Mountain can be found in Dark Iron deposits in Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, Blackrock Depths, and Molten Core. It is also a rare drop from Molten Destroyers in Molten Core.
