Overview

http://i74.thottbot.com/en/Interface/Icons/Ability_Racial_BloodRage.jpg
One of the most ancient traditions of the warrior, is that of the Bloodrage, the almost shamanistic process whereby the warrior reaches inside himself to the 'beast', and pulls forth great anger. This invariably hurts tremedously, which in turn produces more ferocity a warrior can use...

Functionality

Bloodrage generates Rage at the expense of Health. It generates 10 Rage instantly, and a further 10 Rage over 10 seconds, at the expense of 7% health upon activation. It should be noted that it uses 7% of BASE health, much like the way some spells use a certain percentage of base mana.

Thus, if you have 100 base Stamina and +100 stamina from gear, it will only cost you 3.5% of your total health to use Bloodrage.

Use

  • Cast Cost: 7% Base Health
  • Cast Time: Instant
  • Duration: 10 seconds
  • School and Damage Type: Physical
  • Targets/Positioning: Self
  • Range: Self
  • Cooldown: 60 seconds
  • Stances: All

Talents

Notes

Considered 'In Combat' while active.

Rank Table

Tips and Tactics

Useful in all manner of situations as it is one of the few ways to kick-start a warrior's Rage from rest. (Others include Ability warrior charge [Charge], Rage Potions and some items). The alternative is simply to wade into combat and wait for the Rage to charge up through damage done and taken, which puts the warrior at a significant initial handicap.

Particularly useful in PvP encounters, where sudden use of an ability may be required instantly.

If you know a rogue is nearby, Bloodrage may be a useful skill to use. It will put you into combat, so you cannot be sapped, and you can use the rage to use two Demoralizing Shouts, which will unstealth the rogue if it lands.
