Thermal activity is at its peak in the Boiling Terrace. Numerous vents, volcanoes, fissures, and similar features make these waters seethe with heat — it is even boiling in places, which gives it its name. The waters are scalding. Enormous gas bubbles, steam, and shimmering water limit visibility. The only creatures that can survive here are those that tolerate great heat — giant crabs and the like. The Boiling Terrace is in the southeast reaches of the Eye.^[1]
