Not to be confused with Brackenwall Village.

Brackenwall is a large and shadowy fen along the western edge of Dustwallow Marsh. Brackenwall has become infamous for the number of explorers who have entered and never returned. The tauren refuse to go near Brackenwall and blame disappearances on what they call the "the hungry mists." The tauren have even erected series of stone pillars inscribed with protective runes along the border that Brackenwall shares with the Barrens, closest to their homeland of Mulgore.[1]

Brackenwall Village takes its name from the Brackenwall.
