Players encounter him as the last boss of Sunwell Plateau. He is being summoned into Azeroth from the Sunwell. When players defeat him, he does not die, instead the forces of the Sunwell react against him and he is forced back in the Sunwell (it is unclear where he ends up.) What is left of him (his giant necklace) is what the players loot.
