Fighting Cairne Bloodhoof is rather simple if uninterrupted by horde, however there are a few things to be aware of:
- Cairne does not reset when he wanders outside his tent anymore, but, don't pull him too far from it either. Best to tank him in the middle section of the yard where he is.
- The guards outside his tent and inside his tent will respawn during the fight and people should be assigned to handling these as they spawn. A simple Druid or other form of AOE should be able to handle these respawns quite well.
- Cairne's Thunderclap Attack does a fair amount of AoE damage, so it is wise to tank him at one end of the tent and have ranged dps/healers at the other end and only necessary people in his melee range.
- Cairne will randomly charge people in the raid, this does not reset aggro so as long as he isn't stunned on the way back he will return to the tank safely.
- Cairne will also knock people out of Thunderbluff. You should fight with him inside the tent so that wont happened.
- Just like any other faction leader, he will grant honor and drop nothing but gold.
- TIPS: Station a small group at each bridge to cut off horde reinforcements from coming in. If in the event you are attacked by horde while you are attacking Cairne, the tank should pull him away with a healer and keep him tanked until the horde threat can be dealt with by the rest of the raid. In the event of a wipe, its advised to regroup all your ghosts together at the lift and rez as together as possible. Thunderbluff can be very confusing to navigate if you've never been there before. Your ability to reorganize and strike again can make or break a raid.
- This is a fun and easy fight, he can be reached in under 3 minutes by taking the Northern Lift into Thunderbluff and turning left into a covered bridge which leads to the Elder rise, then veer right along the edge and take the bridges that link the northern and southern parts of the Elder rise. After you're all together, clear some of the NPC trash outside his tent, but be careful not to pull him, he is easily pulled accidentally.
