Captain Noteo

Captain Noteo was originally created purely as a temporary measure, allowing players to travel from Auberdine to Menethil Harbor in the original World of Warcraft Beta while the mechanics for the boat system were yet to be fully implemented.

Captain Noteo was originally named Captain Eo but his name was changed during the course of Beta, presumably due to potential copyright issues.

Captain Noteo, along with his compatriot Captain Placeholder, was temporarily brought back in Early 2005 while a glitch in the boat system was being addressed. They were again removed from the game in April of 2005 when the problem was corrected.
