The following 
zones (sometimes called regions), some of them demarcated on the maps, have been described as appearing in future expansions, but are not accessible to players so far. For the purposes of this site, they will be called future zones.
Most of these zones will be opened in the near future and are mentioned in the coming soon category.
Zones that appear to be demarcated on official maps, but have not been mentioned in relation to future expansions can be found in the closed zones category.
