Back to Category

I highly suggest we try and reduce the ridiculous size of this category by organizing the mobs by zone. See Category:Tirisfal Glades mobs for an example. There simply is no reason to have a category so ridiculously huge it can't be navigated with any sense of ease. The most logical way to categorize them is by location, so I think we should start on that. --Mikaka 07:41, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Broken link Edit

The "Next 200" link on this page is broken, so I can only see A-F. Bosbo 20:05, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

- but I created an account and logged in and now it works. Bosbo 20:06, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Re-cat Edit

I would really like to move all of the articles out of Category:Mobs to Category:<Zone Name> mobs, because I think this would make it much easier for user to locate a specific mob without having to sift through many pages, but I'm not sure of how do go about this. Is there a formal process, or should I just go for it? Any input is appreciated. --Hojimachongtalk 01:44, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Update: This question was answered with the WoWWiki:Zone category project. Category:Mobs should no longer contain specific articles except in rare cirumstances. When categorizing a mob article, you should use at minimum the zone category (such as Category:Wetlands mobs) and the mob type category (such as Category:Treants). Try to place the article in the appropriate subcategory to avoid too much clutter in the parent categories. -- Mordsith - (talk|contr) 16:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
