Caydiem was a Blizzard employee and was a Community Manager for the US World of Warcraft forums.

In April 2006, she moved onto new pastures within Blizzard, but she can still be seen on the forums from time to time.

In the Heroes of Azeroth set of the WoW TCG, the card "Hierophant Caydiem" is an Ally on the Horde-side.[1]

Controversy and speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Caydiem was also famous for her quote that she had "seen BWL many times, was in a pro raiding guild and that rogues were fine".[citation needed] This led to a bit of internet detective work by some disgruntled rogues who eventually found Caydiem's actual rogue she played in-game.[citation needed] It turned out she had not seen BWL at all and was using Silent Fang as her main-hand.[citation needed] This became infamous and for months afterwards, even mentioning Silent Fang on the forums earned yourself a ban.[citation needed]

Caydiem is also assumed to be Kirisani.

Caydiem's departure

Subject: Moving on...

When the game was still in beta, a fresh-faced Community Manager arrived on the World of Warcraft scene shortly after Tyren and just before Ordinn. That day, I adopted the name Caydiem, and began what has been quite the journey.

A smile appears on my face anytime anyone mentions the end of beta event. Every time I play my Druid, I'm reminded -- fondly -- that it was the Druid community, their concerns and questions, that brought me to the class in the first place. During the casual vs. hardcore debate, I was raiding on a strict schedule with one guild and playing in a casual manner on an entirely different character. The community has not only been a natural part of my work day, but an integral part of my leisure time, as well; I love this game, and with it the many people that populate the worlds in which I play.

It is with a heavy heart, therefore, that I bear the news that I am leaving the Community Team. I am still remaining a part of the Blizzard family, but my position will be somewhat away from the public light. I'll still be playing the game, of course, and I'm sure I'll still read the forums from time to time. You can't get rid of me that easily. ;)

Thank you all for the engaging discussion and fun throughout my time here. Best of luck in the future!
