- Use: Summons and dismisses a ridable hippogryph mount. This is a very fast mount. This mount can only be used in Outland.
The Cenarion War Hippogryph is a special mount available to players who obtain Exalted reputation with the Cenarion Expedition.

This mount is sold by Fedryen Swiftspear, the Cenarion Expedition quartermaster, at the Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh. It is rideable by players who have a riding skill of 300. Its cost is 2000
(1600 with the Exalted discount of 20%). Interestingly, you can sell this mount to a vendor for 500 . It is not possible to dive into a lake while riding this mount.
Originally Different Versions?
To the right you can see a screenshot of a purple Cenarion War Hippogryph extracted from an in-game file. Oddly enough, currently in-game the only Cenarion War Hippogryph which is currently obtainable is a darker, stereotypical night elf hippogryph, more an ocean blue color. The fact there is a perfectly usable purple Hippogryph flying mount model might indicate Blizzard originally intended to add different color Hippogryph mounts in patch 2.2.
