Many players collect the set for Roleplaying reasons. This set is primarily matched with two pieces of not-set mail armor that drop in the Scarlet Monastery, filling in the "gaps" in the Scarlet set - the [Raging Berserker's Helm] and [Herod's Shoulder], both from Herod in the Armory.

When it comes to looks, the chest piece is pretty much useless since Blizzard introduced the [Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade] in Patch 1.11
