A human and blood elf paladin on their chargers, showing the differences side-by-side.

The Charger is an epic version of the Warhorse mount only available to a Paladin (humans, dwarves, and draenei) at level 60 upon completing a lengthy quest series. Completing the lengthy chain is a feat of strength. As of Patch 1.12.1, the mount system has been re-vamped and the charger now also comes with the Journeyman Riding skill.

As of Patch 3.0.3 it is learnable from any paladin trainer at level 61, but requires 150 riding skill and the Warhorse ability learned. The quest is still available at level 60 and gives the same rewards.

Differences between Alliance and Horde

Humans, dwarves, and draenei receive a Charger with blue livery and gold-plated armor, and exudes a golden aura. However, the blood elf Charger has red livery, with what appears to be brass armor, and exudes a redish aura. Only the Blood elf quest awards a tabard, and it's not awarded if one buys the skill and spell from a trainer.
