Chimera's Eyes are uncut gems primarily used to produce socketable gems that may only be used by that jeweler.

Chimera's Eye gem cuts are exclusively bind on pickup. When cut by the jeweler, the Chimera's eye will become soulbound to that jeweler. The jeweler can cut an unlimited number of these gems, however, s/he cannot wear equipment with more than three total socketed Eyes at any given time. These cut gems can be of the same or different types (e.g. the jeweler could equip three Bold Chimera's Eyes).

Chimera's Eyes are also used as reagents in crafting other epic jewelcrafting necklaces and rings that are bind on equip. It is also a reagent in crafting a common vanity head slot item (Rhinestone Sunglasses).

Chimera's Eyes are acquirable only by a high level jewelcrafter (minimum skill level 350 as of Beta PTR build 12857). The jeweler can sell them to other players using the Auction House or through Trade.

They have about 10% chance of being found in a [Fire Prism], which may be created every 20 hours; similar to [Icy Prism].
They can be purchased with 1 [Illustrious Jewelcrafter's Token] from Isabel Jones <Jewelcrafting Supplies> in Stormwind City or Marith Lazuria <Jewelcrafting Supplies> in Orgrimmar.
