Cloud Serpent mounts are a type of creature raised and trained by the Pandaren as flying mounts. Players will be able to obtain one of their own as a mount through a series of daily quests that is estimated to take 20 days. At the beginning, players will be able to choose the color of their Serpent and its corresponding egg, helping to raise the small hatchling. This will involve such activities as racing.[1]
This questline takes place at max level (90).[1]
Riding these mounts will require [Cloud Serpent Riding] from the Order of the Cloud Serpent.[2] [Cloud Serpent Riding] requires players to be Exalted with The Order of the Cloud Serpent.

Quests
- Main article: Cloud serpent quests
This questline starts at Windward Isle to the northeast of Jade Forest and will be the usual grind of dailies and transition quests at each phase to gain reputation with the Order of the Cloud Serpent. Unlike most previous grinds, some of the rep can be gained via profession quests.

Rewards
Quest reward
- [Reins of the Onyx Cloud Serpent] is a reward from the quest Surprise Attack!. The quest becomes available on becoming Exalted with Shado-Pan.
Guild reward
- [Reins of the Thundering Jade Cloud Serpent] is purchasable for 3,000 from guild vendors upon completing Guild Glory of the Pandaria Raider.
Achievement reward
- [Reins of the Crimson Cloud Serpent] is a reward for completing Glory of the Pandaria Hero.
- [Reins of the Heavenly Crimson Cloud Serpent] is the reward from Glory of the Pandaria Raider.
Drops
- [Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent] guaranteed drop from Alani in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
- [Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent] is a rare drop from Elegon in Mogu'shan Vaults.
