Role | Former UI & Macros MVP |
Cogwheel, AKA Matthew Orlando, was an MVP on the UI & Macros Forum, but resigned in late December[1] ("I reached my tolerance threshhold for not telling people what i REALLY think ;)")
Shortly after the UI Add-on Development Policy was introduced, Cogwheel edited his macro guide posts with a message of protest. In response, Blizzard erased virtually every post of his from the forums and banned him for a week. His only post since that time was a farewell to the community.
Cogwheel is a gnome. Some of his gnomish exploits include:
- Being a former UI & Macros forum MVP
- Authoring numerous addons (see Cogwheel's Workshop)
- Co-authoring a book on writing addons
- Laying waste to sprockets at every opportunity
- Blogging on hot-button topics including politics, religion, pseudoscience and ... theoretical physics?
