Comparing Combat Potency to Lethality
Point for point, Combat Potency is clearly better.
- Assume +12% hit chance, 30% crit chance, 350 average non-crit Sinister Strike, 2.2s off-hand sword, and active Slice and Dice.
- Generously, you'd do 15 x Sinister Strikes per minute
- 15*(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2) = 7875
- With Lethality
- 15*(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2.3) = 8505 (630 extra damage)
- Given our assumptions, with Combat Potency you gain about 2.5 extra SS per minute
- 2.5x(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2) = 1312 (extra damage)
1312 dmg/min compared to 630 dmg/min, it would take a monstrously slow off-hand to make up for this difference.
