  • 60/1.4 = 42.9 swings per minute
  • 42.9 * 1.4 = 60.1 swings after Slice and Dice bonus
  • 60.1 * .83 = 49.9 hits per minute (5% dodged, 12% missed)
  • 49.9 * 0.20 = 9.98 procs per minute (20% proc chance)
  • 9.98 * 15 energy = 149.7 energy
  • 2.5 Backstabs/min, or 3.7 Sinister Strikes/min

Example 2 :

  • 2.2 sec weapon = 60/2.2 = 27,27 spm
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice active = 2.2 / (( 40 / 100 + 1 ) = 1.4) = 1.57 sec
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice & 20% Blade Flurry active = 2.2 / 1.4 / 1.2 = 1,31 sec
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice & 10% Berserking active = 1.43 sec
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice & 10% Berserking & 20% Blade Flurry active = 1,19 sec
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice & 10% Berserking & 20% Blade Flurry & 3% Haste active = 1.16 sec
  • 2.2 sec weapon with 40% Slice and Dice & 10% Berserking & 20% Blade Flurry & 3% Haste & 3% Mongoose active = 1.12 sec

  • 90.91 spm * 0.20 proc chance = 18.18 procs per minute at 100% hit chance
  • 18.18 ppm * 15 energy = 272.7 energy per minute at 100% hit chance.

Comparison Vs. Lethality

Comparing Combat Potency to Lethality

Point for point, Combat Potency is clearly better.

Assume +12% hit chance, 30% crit chance, 350 average non-crit Sinister Strike, 2.2s off-hand sword, and active Slice and Dice.
Generously, you'd do 15 x Sinister Strikes per minute
15*(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2) = 7875
With Lethality
15*(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2.3) = 8505 (630 extra damage)
Given our assumptions, with Combat Potency you gain about 2.5 extra SS per minute
2.5x(0.7*350 + 0.4*350*2) = 1312 (extra damage)

1312 dmg/min compared to 630 dmg/min, it would take a monstrously slow off-hand to make up for this difference.
