Install Window

This section of the guide covers the Installer window for the Cosmos Updater.

Image:CosmosInstallWindow.png

The window above is the install window that comes up after the updater has downloaded all the changed and missing files. The window has several options and features that are discussed below.

Disclosure Triangle: To the left of the Addon file name is a triangle. Clicking on this expands the folder to show the files and folders that are in the addon.

ID and ND: To the right of the file there are two columns ID and NU.

ID stands for Install in Disabled. By selecting this option for the addon, the addon will either be moved (if in addon folder already) or installed to the DisabledAddons Folder. If you uncheck the option then the reverse happens and the addon installed in the AddOns Folder. Any addon that is currently installed in the DisabledAddOns Folder will have this option selected thus you can easily reenable the addon from this window if you choose to do so.

NU stands for Never Update. By selecting this option the addon or addon file will be added to the protected list. The file will not be updated when you continue the installation. If a file is protected this option will be set automaticly thus you can easily unprotect files from this window as well.

The two check boxes below the file list control the behavior of the window.

Checkbox buttons: The one on the left 'Don't Show this window again' will cause the updater to auto install files rather than brin the window up so that you can choose what to install.

The one on the right 'Show Only Changed files' will hide any files in the Cosmos distribution that did not change. unchecking this option will save it as the default and you can then install an unchanged addon to the DisabledAddOns Folder or protect/unprotect an addon or addon file.

The buttons at the bottom are:

Check All: this will check all the non protected addons and files that were changed so they can be installed.

Uncheck All: this will uncheck all the files that have changed so they are not installed.

Abort Install: this will cancel the installation and close the install window.

Continue Install: this install all the files that have been selected and process the NU and ID selections as well.
