A female Night Elf hunter in Cryptstalker Armor

Added in Patch 1.11.

This is the Tier 3 Hunter Set obtainable through quests from Huntsman Leopold of at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands using quest items from Naxxramas. This is also a new "nine out of eight" set, meaning it has 9 possible items (including a ring), allowing players some customizations in their gear and set bonuses.

This set is a significant advancement over anything else that was ever available to Hunters, including the Dragonstalker Armor and Striker's Garb. It offers a great deal of mana regeneration, a new bonus to hunters, which should be useful in any long battles the hunter may face.

"The preternatural ability of the crypt fiend to hunt and kill its foe is one studied and vaunted by men in my profession. I, myself, have slain thousands of the beasts in my crusade to rid this world of Scourge.

While I loath the crypt fiend for its merciless nature, its abilities must be admired. It has a job and it does it - very well.

I have discovered a use for the carapace of the crypt fiend and its various body parts. I am able to fashion an extremely light and very deadly set of armor by combining the fragments with some of the desecrated magical armors lost in Naxxramas."
