Tips and tactics

  • Always use this spell before using Enslave Demon to increase the effectiveness of the enslave. The demon will be less likely to resist, and the curse remains in effect while the demon is enslaved, decreasing the chance that it will break the enslave early.
  • Use together with DD spells like Incinerate or Shadow Bolt, as well as to aid Mage of any spec or Druid characters that use Arcane or Shadow Priests that use Shadow Magic.
  • This spell produces a beautiful synergy with fire mages and Improved Scorch, which gives +15% damage, and with shadow priests Shadow Weaving, which gives +10% damage.
  • If you spec as a destruction lock, use this to allow you to prep the target to maximize criticals.
  • The Voidwalker's Torment is Shadow-based, so this helps the voidwalker to hold aggro.
  • Helpful on raid bosses when you have multiple people attacking with Shadow, Arcane, Frost and/or Fire spells.
