Tips and tactics
- Always use this spell before using Enslave Demon to increase the effectiveness of the enslave. The demon will be less likely to resist, and the curse remains in effect while the demon is enslaved, decreasing the chance that it will break the enslave early.
- This should be the main curse of choice for Destruction warlocks. The damage it adds to your direct damage spells is higher than the damage inflicted by Curse of Agony, and in a raid situation you should always leave the casting of that curse to an affliction lock anyway. The long duration of the curse also means you have to waste less time applying curses and can focus on casting your DD spells.
- Use together with DD spells like Incinerate or Shadow Bolt, as well as to aid mages of any spec or druid characters that use Arcane or Shadow Priests that use Shadow Magic.
- This spell produces a beautiful synergy with fire mages and Improved Scorch, which gives +5% critical strike chance, and with shadow priests Shadow Weaving, which gives +10% damage.
- If you spec as a destruction lock, use this to allow you to prep the target to maximize criticals.
- The Voidwalker's Torment is Shadow-based, so this helps the voidwalker to hold aggro.
- Helpful on raid bosses when you have multiple people attacking with Shadow, Arcane, Frost, and/or Fire spells.
- Note that multiple curse of the elements do not stack, and the damage increasing effect does not stack with the Balance druid's Earth and Moon.
