Daily quests (popularly nicknamed dailies) are repeatable quests that can be acquired and completed once per day. These quests have significantly better rewards than other repeatable quests. Daily quests come in many different flavors, and many are for reputation, instances, professions, and battlegrounds.

The daily quest lists below include ongoing and new quests designated for level 80 players and players leveling in Northrend.

Restrictions

You may complete up to 25 daily quests per day per character. The exact reset hour depends on the realm, but it never changes, is chosen to be in the early morning, and will not coincide with the instance reset. You can double-check by mousing over the daily quests completed out of 25 in the upper left corner of your quest log.

Often, a quest chain needs to be completed first to unlock the quest.

The Argent Tournament unlocks the beginning quests for the Argent Tournament. Three daily quests in the Alliance tent are unlocked, as well as the quest chain starting with A [25-30] The Black Knight of Westfall? from Crusader Rhydalla.

Objectives

Speak with Arcanist Taelis at the Argent Tournament grounds to enroll in the tournament.

Description

We have invited you here to test your skill and valor against others who have bravely opposed the Scourge. Many have been our divisions, but the time has come for heroes fighting under all banners to test their blades against one another in preparation for facing our mutual enemy.

Arcanist Taelis is the Silver Covenant's representative to the tournament and he'll enter your name into the rolls and begin your training. Seek him out inside the large Alliance tent in the northeastern part of the grounds.

Completion

I have entered your name in the rolls, <name>. As an aspirant you will train with others who wish to compete in the tournament and hone your mounted combat skills. Once you have proven yourself, you will be allowed to enter the lowest rank of competition on behalf of your capital city.

Rewards

You will receive the achievement Achievement reputation argentcrusader [Argent Aspiration].

Note that only one of the Barking quests can be done each day, i.e. you cannot bark for both the Thunderbrews and the Barleybrews in the same day. In addition, the repeatable version of There and Back Again has a twelve-hour reset time as opposed to the 4 AM reset time of the other dailies.

Cooking

Daily cooking quests are handed out by Alliance Katherine Lee (Alliance) and Horde Awilo Lon'gomba (Horde) in Dalaran. The quests are random each day but will be the same for everyone on their server.

Each quest rewards +150 Kirin Tor reputation, 9g 93s, a [Dalaran Cooking Award] (Mustard Dogs! rewards 2) and a [Small Spice Bag].

Fishing

Daily fishing quests handed out by Marcia Chase in Dalaran. The quests are random each day but will be the same for everyone on their server.

The reward for these quests is a [Bag of Fishing Treasures].

Daily fishing quests handed out by Old Man Barlo. You can find him fishing northeast of Shattrath City by Silmyr Lake. Again, the quests are random each day but will be the same for everyone on their server.

All of the above quests give a [Bag of Fishing Treasures] as their reward.

Jewelcrafting

Daily Jewelcrafting quests are offered in Dalaran by Timothy Jones. Rewards are tokens to buy higher level recipes.

Dungeon daily quests

Removed from game The subject of this section has been removed from World of Warcraft.

There were originally two daily Northrend instance quests—one heroic and one normal—which randomly rotate to a different dungeon each day. These quests were removed with the introduction of the new Dungeon Finder tool in Patch 3.3.0.

Normal dailies

Archmage Timear formerly began and ended the Northrend daily dungeon quests. The reward for each was 14g 80s, two Spell holy championsgrace [Emblems of Conquest], and a choice of Spell holy mindsooth [Kirin Tor Commendation Badge], Inv misc token argentdawn2 [Argent Crusade Commendation Badge], Inv jewelry talisman 12 [Ebon Blade Commendation Badge], Inv misc head dragon red [Wyrmrest Commendation Badge] or Spell frost wizardmark [Sons of Hodir Commendation Badge]. Completing all four quests was the requirement for Money achievement Timear Foresees.

Heroic dailies

Archmage Lan'dalock formerly began and ended the Northrend heroic daily quests. The reward for each was 22g 50s, two Spell holy summonchampion [Emblems of Triumph], and +75 reputation with the Kirin Tor. Completing each of these quests (except for The Black Knight) was the requirement for Money achievement Proof of Demise.

Patches and hotfixes

  • Wrath-Logo-Small Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): Daily Heroic and Dungeon quests removed due to the new Dungeon Finder tool.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.4.0 (2008-03-25): The Daily Quest limit has been increased to 25.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): Quest givers who have available daily quests will have a blue exclamation point instead of a yellow one.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.2.0 (2007-09-25): Players can now accept daily quests even after their daily quest limit has been reached.
  • Bc icon Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Daily quests added. Repeatable but can only be done once per day. Max of 10 daily quests per day.
