Darkfallen are Undead that can be encountered in the upcoming World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The San'layn seem to be a faction of them under the command of the Lich King. An example of one is the Darkfallen Bloodbearer.

While no lore has been given, they seem to be a cross between an Elf, a death knight, and a vampire. This is based both on their model and the quest text of  [55] The Scarlet Harvest.

• Prince Keleseth - Quest giver at the Crypt of Remembrance, Scourge ambassador to the Vrykul and first boss of Utgarde Keep
• Prince Valanar - Quest giver at Death's Breach and master of Naxxanar in the Borean Tundra
