Notes
Tips and tactics
- Instant cast and unaffected by weapon speed, so it favors slower throwing weapons.
- Useful if you want to open with Cheap Shot on a mage. They will probably blink out of it, but if your crippling poison hasn't snared them, this will. However, Garrote (with its silence effect at later levels) or Ambush may still be better choices when opening against a mage.
Patch changes
- In Patch 2.3, missile speed increased significantly and snare duration increased slightly.
- After the Wrath of the Lich King release, the various gloves mentioned above no longer grant the "Deadly Throw Interrupts Spellcasting" effect.
