Disenchant is an ability that comes with Enchanting. It extracts the magical element(s) from good quality (Green) or better weapons or armor, which can then be used to enchant other items. The targeted item will be DESTROYED and will not be retrievable.

Patch changesEdit

• Patch 1.5.0 (2005-06-07): Players can no longer mail or auction an item that they've just disenchanted. 
  
• Patch 1.3.0 (2005-03-07): You can no longer disenchant an item while you have the disenchant loot window open for another item, which caused you to lose the original item and its loot.
