A drakeadon is a race/species of four-legged, two-headed lizard beast that Chromaggus is. We can find one in Blackwing Lair (Chromaggus) and more little drakeadon in Blackwing Descent. It seems that they have created under experiments on the powerful Chromatic dragonflight. Obviously, they have got the power of five Dragonflight as shown the fight against Chromaggus who has got the five Dragon's Breath.

• It is theorized that drakeadons (or at least Chromaggus) may be genetically modified core hounds who have been captured by Nefarian, mixing dragon and core hound DNA.
• It is also possible that Drakeadon was simply the original name for Chromaggus back when Blackwing Lair was in its early stages of development.

The name "drakeadon" is taken from the game files as no other name is known. Since Cataclysm, we can see that drakeadon is the true name of this race/species among the monsters in Blackwing Descent.
