Contents

Early Life

Dranoel Invin was born a Night Elf. Only years younger than the Great Malfurion and Illidan Stormrage, Dranoel saw the Brothers as great leaders of the Kal'Dorei. He knew Maeiv and the two Elves were constantly at loggerheads over the most trivial issues. He trained with the HighBorne in the Arcane arts, only to stumble upon traces of Demonic Energy. That was the first sign of the impending invasion of the Burning Legion. Dranoel's contributions in the War of the Ancients is documented in his book the Tome of Invin

Immortality

Dranoel was granted amnesty for the crimes of his Highborne people. However, his staunch support of Illidan Stormrage's actions earned him enough political enemies to get him banished a hundred years after the High Elves landed upon the Tristfal Glades. Alone, he sailed on a boat towards the east. Unable to navigate, Dranoel resigned to his fate. However, Dranoel was not destined to die at sea. He was shipwrecked upon the secret kingdom of Pandaria. Dranoel was greeted with curiosity. None knew how Dranoel got through their Mystic Wards that have prevented anyone from entering their secret domain. The Pandaren Elders decided it was destiny and allowed the Night Elf to stay, so long as he never leaves. Stranded on the mysterious island, Dranoel change of lifestyle from a Nocturnal one to one who walks during the day changed him. He soon resembled a High Elf more so than a Night Elf, only retaining his Dark hair. His immortality was explained to him by the Pandaren high elder. By being in Pandaria, he is caught between the powers of the World Tree and the Sun Well, giving him immortality. Death will not come to him from age or illness.

To Lordaeron

For the longest time, the Pandaren lived peaceful lives. But when Medivh opened the Dark Portal, a great dark cloud descended upon Pandaria. The Pandaren High Elder agreed to allow Dranoel to leave and find his Kinsmen in Quel'Thalas to put and end to the chaotic magic at work. Dranoel allowed himself to be drugged in order to prevent him from remembering how to get back to Pandaria, while the Pandaren transported him to the Eastern Kingdoms. Dranoel was left unconscious on the western coast of Silverpine Forest. Dranoel woke up and wandered the forest. He soon found his way to the Lordaeron's capital city and arrived there just as Anduin Lothar brought the refugees of Azeroth to sanctuary. King Terenes Menethil called a great council to be held. Emissaries from all free races attended this meeting. It was there Dranoel met his kinsmen for the first time in over Ten Thousand years. Quickly learning common from the Quel'Thalas emissaries, Dranoel soon realised the threat of the Orcish Horde. Dranoel attended the council and pushed for Quel'Thalas to join the grand Alliance, even volunteering to be the first elf to battle the horde. Despite his efforts, the Convocation refused to devote the armies of Silvermoon, only allowing a handful of archers, holding back the High Elves' powerful Mages.

The Holy Light

Dranoel hid his Elven features with a light veil of magic, allowing him the freedom of conscripting in Azeroth forces lead by Anduin Lothar. It was there he met Uther Lightbringer, the first Paladin. Under the name of Invin, he was invited into the Silver Hand by Uther. Dranoel was among the first Elven paladins, though it was never recorded as his true identity was hidden.

"The Holy Light has granted us the power to crush the evil that comes in the form of the Orcs. Nothing will stop us from protecting the weak. Our strength comes from the will to protect and the love for our homes and people, not from reckless vengence and rage" -- Uther Lightbringer to Invin Dranoel Storm-Rider

"Beware young Paladin. The greatest darkness comes not from the fel magic of an Orcish Warlock. Rather, it comes from the darkness from within your heart. Be it jealousy, rage, pride or greed. These shadows are most deadly" -- Uther's first lesson to the 2nd generation of Paladin

Dranoel's exploits in the 2nd Great War will be written and documented in the Tome of Invin

Quotes

"The Naaru are not the source of the Light. Rather, the light lives in the heart of every living thing. Generosity, Kindness, Fellowship and Honor... All these are manistestation of the Light of your heart"

"Illidan Stormrage... he was a genious. Had he not created the foundations of the World Tree in the new well, how could we have stopped Archimonde? And yet the Night Elves condemn and banish him!"

"Most gnomes should never have been borned. While I have no quarrels with them, I often wonder how can they commit genocide against their own race."
