Druid abilities are wide-ranging, enabling the druid to specialize in any of the main roles required for the game. Balance spells are spells that mostly deal strong nature damage, restoration spells allows the druid to heal their party and better support it as a whole, and feral combat abilities let the druid specialize in either tanking or melee damage.

The only abilities which require the druid to be in a certain form are feral abilities, and in some cases (Moonkin Form and Tree of Life Form) being in a certain form will actually limit the abilities available to the druid. It's important to be careful to check what form you are in, as shapeshifting is automatically broken if you attempt to cast the wrong spell or use the wrong ability. Druids are able to shapeshift to many different forms . These are the shapeshifting forms that druids can learn, and therefore the most important abilities in the druid's arsenal. Except for Bear Form, Moonkin Form and Tree of Life Form, they are all available to learn from a trainer. Bear Form can only be acquired through a quest, while Moonkin Form and Tree of Life Form are acquired through talents in the Balance and Restoration trees respectively. Feral abilities, however, are only usable when in Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, or Cat Form. Some Feral abilities are further differentiated by only being usable in Bear Form/Dire Bear Form OR Cat Form.

In the table below, a green (B) after the word "Feral" means that ability can only be used in Bear Form/Dire Bear Form, and a green (C) means the ability can only be used in Cat Form.

Trainable Abilities

The following abilities are available to all druids of the appropriate level, regardless of talent spec.

Nature's Grasp 10 Self Only Balance While active, any time an enemy strikes the caster they have a 100% chance to become afflicted by Entangling Roots (Rank X). 1 charge. Lasts 45 sec.
Teleport: Moonglade 10 Self Only Balance Teleports the caster to the Moonglade.
Bear Form 10 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into bear form, increasing melee attack power by (Your Level x 3), armor contribution from items by 180%, and Stamina by 25%. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects and allows the use of various bear abilities.
Demoralizing Roar 10 10 yards Feral (B) The druid roars, decreasing nearby enemies' melee attack power by X. Lasts 30 sec.
Growl 10 30 yards Feral (B) Taunts the target to attack you, but has no effect if the target is already attacking you.
Maul 10 6 yards Feral (B) A strong attack that increases melee damage by X and causes a high amount of threat. Effects which increase Bleed damage also increase Maul damage.
Regrowth 12 40 yards Restoration Heals a friendly target for X to Y and another Z over 21 sec.
Enrage 12 Self Only Feral (B) Generates 20 rage over 10 sec, but reduces base armor by 27% in Bear Form and 16% in Dire Bear Form.
Revive 12 30 yards Restoration Returns the spirit to the body, restoring a dead target to life with X health and Y mana. Cannot be cast when in combat.
Bash 14 5 yards Feral (B) Stuns the target for X sec and interrupts spellcasting for 3 sec.
Cure Poison 14 40 yards Restoration Cures 1 poison effect on the target.
Aquatic Form 16 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into aquatic form, increasing swim speed by 50% and allowing the druid to breathe underwater. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects.
Travel Form 16 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into travel form, increasing movement speed by 40%. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects. Only usable outdoors.
Swipe 16 5 yards Feral (B) Swipe nearby enemies, inflicting X damage. Damage increased by attack power.
Faerie Fire 18 30 yards Balance Decrease the armor of the target by X for 5 min. While affected, the target cannot stealth or turn invisible.
Faerie Fire (Feral) 18 30 yards Feral (B)(C) Decrease the armor of the target by X for 5 min. While affected, the target cannot stealth or turn invisible. Deals (AP*0.05+1) damage and additional threat when used in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form.
Hibernate 18 30 yards Balance Forces the enemy target to sleep for up to X sec. Any damage will awaken the target. Only one target can be forced to hibernate at a time. Only works on Beasts and Dragonkin.
Rebirth 20 30 yards Restoration Returns the spirit to the body, restoring a dead target to life with X health and Y mana.
Cat Form 20 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into cat form, increasing melee attack power by (Your Level * 2) plus Agility. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects and allows the use of various cat abilities.
Starfire 20 30 yards Balance Causes X Arcane damage to the target.
Claw 20 5 yards Feral (C) Claw the enemy, causing X additional damage. Awards 1 combo point.
Prowl 20 Self Only Feral (C) Allows the Druid to prowl around, but reduces your movement speed by X%. Lasts until canceled.
Rip 20 5 yards Feral (C) Finishing move that causes damage over time. Damage increases per combo point and by your attack power:
Shred 22 5 yards Feral (C) Shred the target, causing 225% damage plus X to the target. Must be behind the target. Awards 1 combo point. Effects which increase Bleed damage also increase Shred damage.
Soothe Animal 22 40 yards Balance Soothes the target beast, reducing the range at which it will attack you by 10 yards. Only affects Beast and Dragonkin targets level 85 or lower. Lasts 15 sec.
Remove Curse 24 40 yards Restoration Dispels 1 curse from a friendly target.
Rake 24 5 yards Feral (C) Rake the target for X damage and an additional Y damage over 9 sec. Awards 1 combo point.
Tiger's Fury 24 Self Only Feral (C) Increases damage done by X for 6 sec.
Abolish Poison 26 40 yards Restoration Attempts to cure 1 poison effect on the target, and 1 more poison effect every 2 seconds for 8 sec.
Dash 26 Self Only Feral (C) Increases movement speed by X% for 15 sec. Does not break prowling.
Challenging Roar 28 Self Only Feral (B) Forces all nearby enemies to focus attacks on you for 6 sec.
Cower 28 Self Only Feral (C) Cower, causing no damage but lowering your threat a large amount, making the enemy less likely to attack you.
Tranquility 30 Self Only (AoE Heal) Restoration Heals all nearby group members for X every 2 seconds for 8 sec. Druid must channel to maintain the spell.
Ferocious Bite 32 5 Yards Feral (C) Finishing move that causes damage per combo point and converts each extra point of energy into X additional damage. Damage is increased by your attack power.
Ravage 32 5 Yards Feral (C) Ravage the target, causing 385% damage plus X to the target. Must be prowling and behind the target. Awards 1 combo point.
Track Humanoids 32 Self Only Feral (C) Shows the location of all nearby humanoids on the minimap. Only one type of thing can be tracked at a time.
Frenzied Regeneration 36 Self Only Feral (B) Converts up to 10 Rage per second to health for 10 sec. Each point of Rage is converted into X health.
Pounce 36 5 Yards Feral (C) Pounce, stunning the target for 3 sec and causing X damage over 18 sec. Must be prowling. Awards 1 combo point.
Hurricane 40 30 Yards Balance Creates a violent storm in the target area causing X Nature damage to enemies every 1 sec, and increasing the time between melee, ranged attacks and spells by 50%. Lasts 10 sec. Druid must channel to maintain the spell.
Dire Bear Form 40 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into dire bear form, increasing melee attack power by (Your Level x 3), armor contribution from items by 370%, and Stamina by 25%. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects and allows the use of various bear abilities.
Savage Defense 40 Self Only (Passive) Feral (B) Each time you deal a critical strike while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form, you gain Savage Defense, reducing the damage taken from the next physical attack that strikes you by 25% of your attack power.
Feline Grace 40 Self Only (Passive) Feral (C) Reduces damage from falling.
Innervate 40 30 Yards Balance Grants 450% of the casting Druid's base mana pool to the target over 20 seconds.
Barkskin 44 Self Only Balance The druid's skin becomes as tough as bark. All damage taken is reduced by 20%. While protected, damaging attacks will not cause spellcasting delays. This spell is usable while stunned, frozen, incapacitated, feared or asleep. Usable in all forms. Lasts 12 sec.
Gift of the Wild 50 40 yards Restoration Gives the Gift of the Wild to the target's party and raid members, increasing armor by X, all attributes by Y and all resistances by Z for 1 hour.
Flight Form 60 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into flight form, increasing movement speed by 150% and allowing you to fly. Cannot use in combat. Can only use this form in Outland or Northrend.
Maim 62 5 Yards Feral (C) Finishing move that causes damage and incapacitates the target. Additional damage caused may interrupt the effect. The victim's spellcasting is also interrupted for 3 sec.
Lifebloom 64 40 Yards Restoration Heals the target for x over 7 sec. When Lifebloom completes its duration or is dispelled the target instantly heals themself for y. This effect can stack up to 3 times on the same target.
Lacerate 66 5 Yards Feral (B) Lacerates the enemy target, dealing X bleed damage and making them bleed for Y damage over 15 sec and causing a high amount of threat. Damage increased by attack power. This effect stacks up to 5 times on the same target.
Swift Flight Form 70 Self only Shapeshift Shapeshift into swift flight form, increasing movement speed by 280% and allowing you to fly. Cannot use in combat. Can only use this form in Outland or Northrend.
Cyclone 70 20 Yards Balance Tosses the enemy target into the air, preventing all action but making them invulnerable for up to 6 sec. Only one target can be affected by your Cyclone at a time.
Swipe (Cat) 71 5 Yards Feral (C) Swipe nearby enemies, inflicting 260% weapon damage. Damage increased by attack power.
Savage Roar 75 Self Only Feral (C) Finishing move that increases physical damage done by 30%. Lasts longer per combo point.
Nourish 80 40 Yards Restoration Heals a friendly target for X to Y. Heals for an additional 20% if you have a Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom, or Wild Growth effect active on the target.

Insect Swarm Balance 20 30 Yards The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit with melee and ranged attacks by 3% and causing X Nature damage over 12 sec.
Moonkin Form Balance 30 Self only Shapeshift into Moonkin Form. While in this form the armor contribution from items is increased by 370% and all party and raid members within 45 yards have their spell critical chance increased by 5%. Single target spell critical strikes in this form have a chance to instantly regenerate 2% of your total mana. The Moonkin can only cast Balance, Remove Curse, and Abolish Poison spells while shapeshifted.

30 Yards You summon a violent Typhoon that does X Nature damage when in contact with hostile targets, knocking them back 5 yards.
Force of Nature Balance 40 30 Yards Summons 3 treants to attack enemy targets for 30 sec.
Starfall Balance 50 30 Yards You summon a flurry of stars from the sky on all targets within 30 yards of the caster, each doing X Arcane damage, and an additional Y Arcane damage to all nearby targets within 5 yards. Maximum 20 stars. Lasts 10 sec.

Feral Combat

Survival Instincts Feral Combat 10 Self Only When activated, this ability temporarily grants you 30% of your maximum health for 20 sec while in Bear Form, Cat Form, or Dire Bear Form. After the effect expires, the health is lost.
Feral Charge Feral Combat 20 8-25 Yards Bear - Causes you to charge an enemy, immobilizing and interrupting any spell being cast for 4 sec. This ability can be used in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form. 15 second cooldown.

Cat - Causes you to leap behind an enemy, dazing them for 3 sec. 30 second cooldown.

Mangle Leader of the Pack 1

5 Yards Mangle the target, inflicting damage and causing the target to take additional damage from bleed effects for 12 sec. This ability can be used in Cat Form or Dire Bear Form.
Berserk Feral Combat 50 Self Only When activated, this ability causes your Mangle (Bear) ability to hit up to 3 targets and have no cooldown, and reduces the energy cost of all your Cat Form abilities by 50%. Lasts 15 sec. You cannot use Tiger's Fury while Berserk is active.

Clears the effect of Fear and makes you immune to Fear for the duration.

Restoration

40 Yards Heals up to 5 friendly party or raid members within 15 yards of the target for X over 7 sec. The amount healed is applied quickly at first, and slows down as the Wild Growth reaches its full duration.
