Dun Garok is a dwarven fortress nestled into the southeastern hills of Hillsbrad Foothills. Captain Ironhill currently leads the fortress's garrison. The dwarves help protect the humans of Hillsbrad as well as the Azurelode Mine.

Alliance players will find little of interest within the fortress besides the friendly Dwarf NPCs.

The Forsaken loathe the presence of the dwarves and have several quests for Horde players that require them to infiltrate Dun Garok.

Cataclysm

Something terrible has happened to Dun Garok during the Cataclysm. The dwarves are all dead and the area is now haunted by Dun Garok Spirits.

Patch changes

• Patch 1.4.0 (2005-05-05): There is no longer a hole in the world at Dun Garok.
