The Dustbringer is a dagger that may be rarely obtained from fishing in any open water or pool in Northrend. It is a homage to the Ashbringer.

At one point during the search for the Ashbringer in pre-BC WoW, it was speculated that obtaining the Ashbringer would either require fishing or be directly acquired from fishing. This was due to several references to Nat Pagle within the Ashbringer's lore. This weapon may have been put into place in honor of those who pieced together the information concerning the Ashbringer.
